Lighting Calculator

Warehouse Lighting Calculator

Use this quick estimator to get a starting point for fixture count. It is not a final lighting design, but it helps you understand what information matters before asking for a quote.

Quick Fixture Estimate

What This Number Means

This calculator uses a simple lumen-per-square-foot estimate and common LED high bay output ranges. A real quote still needs ceiling height, rack layout, fixture spacing, voltage, access, mounting method, and how bright the work areas need to be.

  • Lower ceilings usually need lower-output fixtures spaced closer together.
  • Tall warehouses may need higher-output fixtures or tighter spacing.
  • Racking, aisles, machinery, and loading areas can change the layout.

Numbers to Have Ready

You do not need a perfect lighting plan before calling, but these details make the estimate faster and more accurate.

Fixture Count

How many lights are currently installed, even if some are out or failing.

Ceiling Height

Approximate height from floor to fixture, plus whether lifts can access the lights.

Layout

Racking, aisles, open floor areas, offices, docks, machines, and work zones.
